FIFA Under 20 World Cup New Zealand 2015

Played every two years since 1977 and known as FIFA World Youth Championship until 2005, the twentieth edition of the FIFA Under 20 World Cup will take place in New Zealand from May 30 to June 20.

This will be the third edition played in Oceania after Australia 1981 and Australia 1993. The games will be played in seven host cities: Whangarei, Auckland, Hamilton, New Plymouth, Wellington, Christchurch and Dunedin.

France is the current champion and Argentina is the most successful team with 6 titles:

The tournament is composed by 24 teams. There are 6 groups with 4 teams each of them.
(Victory: 3 Points/Draw game: 1 point/Lost game: 0 points)
If two teams get the same amount of points during the group stage the goal difference will determine what team did better. If the goal difference is identical then the team with more goals scored will be first. If the number of goals scored is the same then the winner will be chosen by lot.

Group A — Myanmar, New Zealand (hosts), Ukraine, United States
Group B — Argentina, Austria, Ghana, Panama
Group C — Colombia, Portugal, Qatar, Senegal
Group D — Mali, Mexico, Serbia, Uruguay
Group E — Brazil, Hungary, Nigeria, North Korea
Group F — Fiji, Germany, Honduras, Uzbekistan

The two first teams from each group will advance to the knockout stage. And the four best third teams will advance two. The last team from every group and the worst two third teams will be eliminated.
During the knockout stage's games the team which scores more goals during the game will advance. If both teams score the same amount of goals then there will be an extra time (2 parts of 15 minutes each). If after the extra time the score keeps tied then a penalty shoot-out will determine the winner of the game.
